Received official confirmation from the Department of the Navy, Director of Submarine Programs that the Sail Structure, Fairwater Planes and Rudder have been gifted to non-profit organization, Bring The Sail 2 Jax Inc., for eventual display in downtown Jacksonville FL along the riverfront. Within sixty (60) days the Sail Structure and other items will be picked up in Bremerton WA, from the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, and transported across the county to Jacksonville FL. The trip to Jacksonville is expected to take 4 to 6 days. Once the items arrive in Jacksonville they will be stored at local shipyard in preparation for reassembly and transport to the final location on the riverfront.
